HISTORY: The first "Woman to Woman" conference was held in San Diego, CA in 1974. It began as an organization and annual gathering of recovering alcoholic women, and has since expanded to multiple regions, including local AA and Al-Anon fellowships across the country. Woman to Woman was brought to Tennessee in 2007, after three program members attended an event in California, and established the organization here.. The format has since spread to numerous independent groups across the United States, offering conferences for women regardless of where they are in their personal recovery journeys.
PURPOSE: W2W was created to be a dedicated atmosphere where women in recovery can gather for fellowship, friendship, and to share their experience, strength, and hope.
